Mick, Martin, Paul, Neil and Trish for their time and their ideas.
The song you hear is a result of everybody’s inputs at different times. Whilst the basic song hasn’t changed that much, there’s loads of ideas in the final arrangement that came from these talented people.
We only spent one night together in a proper rehearsal – the rest was occasional evenings working on different parts at different times with different people.
The end result is testament to their abilities. A special thanks to Mick who took the time to come out from London more than once.
To our sponsors and supporters:
Ben Jacobs at Reading107fm – Mr Ideas. He took to the song after one listen and provided a stack of ideas and encouragement .. and then they sacked him, just as he was about to give us loads of airplay!!
Shawn Donovan of premiergroupuk.com and Rob Dyer of AW Sports in Woodley awsportsandtackle.co.uk. Both agreed to sponsorship very early on.
To California F.C in Finchampstead (Californiafc.com). The largest youth football club in East Berkshire at the time of writing. The club provides youth football for over 300, 5-17yr-old boys and girls and is building a permanent facility in Eversley for the 2007/ 8 season.
My wife Georgina, for her patience over the months this took to come to fruition; I sent the first email in April and the song came out in October.
To the outlets who agreed to sell the CD on release HMV Oracle, Hickies Music (Friar St, Reading), John Wood Sports (Wokingham), Oxfam (Reading and Wokingham), AW Sports (Woodley)and Reading 107FM.
Mr Ross Nelson - for the web site construction. Without Rossmondo this website would have remained a figment of my imagination. He's also the bass maestro with the www.stevemoranoband.com.
Neil Sadler at Nomachine Studios in Wokingham for his expertise; Neil came up with a lot of ideas that we used in the final recordings. A number of people who came to record for the songs also said “what a nice man”. Neil is recommended if you are looking for a studio/ producer.
Lance Bell Esq., who produced the artwork for the CD. The sharpest draw in the West.
Graham Loader at ‘Hob Nob Anyone?’, the number one site for Reading fans. (www.royals.org)
